Rose Aveta buried a goal in double-overtime to push Middletown South to an 11-10 come-from-behind win over Middletown North in Middletown. Aveta's game-winner came off an assist by Olivia Buthorn. Middletown North held a 4-1 lead heading into halftime, and Kelsey Naclerio scored three goals in a row in the second half to tie the game at 4-4. Middletown South's offense kept up the pace through the second half and led 10-8 heading into the closing minutes of regulation. With just under one minute left in the second half, Rebecca Long scored a goal for Middletown North to cut the lead to one, and 10 seconds later, Amanda Hallard scored a tying goal that forced overtime. Aveta finished with three goals and three assists, while Caroline Harlow added on three goals and an assist to the win. Sierra Ramos had 13 saves. Hallard led Middletown North with six goals and one assist, while Samantah Ferris had two goals and Julianna Miranda finished with a goal and three assists. Erika Larsen stopped 16 shots.
